Sadly more than 5400 Australians over 65 will die due to a fall this year. Falls: A Major Cause

Contact with Objects
Injuries in this category happen when people come into contact with tools, machinery, sharp objects like knives, or even everyday items like doors and walls. It also includes accidents involving trees and other large objects.
Forces of Nature
These injuries result from exposure to natural elements, such as too much heat or sunlight, natural disasters like storms, or lightning strikes. It covers situations where the environment itself poses a danger.
Overexertion
This refers to injuries caused by pushing the body too hard, like lifting heavy objects or repeating the same movements too often. It also includes issues from not getting enough food or water, or from motion sickness.
Thermal Causes
Injuries here are related to burns from sources like fire, hot substances, or household appliances. It also includes burns from bushfires or exposure to extreme heat.
Heart Issues
These are problems related to various heart conditions, such as abnormal heart rhythms, heart muscle diseases, or congenital heart defects. It covers a range of heart-related health issues that can lead to hospitalization or worse.
