You will learn: Provide First Aid in Remote Situations will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation. 
This training is suitable for workers who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance.

*Course may take up to 30-45 mins extra depending on group size and learner's competency level

What you will receive

On successful completion of the Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID004) Provide CPR,  which incorporates the contents of only four unit, students will receive:

  • A certificate that is valid for 3 years from the course completion date. 
  • Full competency in HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations
  • Full competency in HLTAID003 Provide first aid
  • Full competency in HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
  • Full competency in HLTAID001 Provide CPR

Remote Situation First Aid Course Brisbane

Important Course Details

  • Everything in HLTAID003 and:
  • Preparation and Planning
  • Equipment, communication, clothing, safety an risk management, environmental skills and considerations,
  • Survival skills, improvisation in first aid using the resources available, long term care for casualties in remote situations
  • Stretchers, manual lifting and evacuation of casualties and more!
  •  

Once booked you will receive an email with a link to Allens Training (the RTO we partner with). Simply complete the learning module (approx 15 minutes), print* it out and bring your proof of completion certificate to the course. 
*If you don’t have a printer, simply take a screenshot with your mobile and bring it with you to the course
Attend our hands-on training day and be sure to bring:

  • Completed Online Certificate Page
  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Pen
  • Form of identification (Drivers License, Passport, Photo I.D. Card, Student card)

Course durations reflect group sizes of between 4 and 15 participants. If there are less students, you may find course duration reduced by a maximum of 10%. If your group exceeds 15 participants it may also be necessary to increase course length depending on the number of participants.

It is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.

It is recommended HLTAID001 be renewed every year in line with industry standards

What you will receive on successful completion of the course:
Provide First Aid in remote situations (HLTAID005), students will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years from the course completion date. 

Your Certificate(s) will be emailed to you on the next business day. If you need it urgently, please contact us at the time of booking via Notes section in your booking.

HLTAID005 is a 6.5-hour course with 4 Units of Competency recorded on your Statement of Attainment:

  • HLTAID001 Provide CPR
  • HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID003 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID005 Provide First Aid in Remote Situations

If a hard copy of the certificate is required, this needs to be requested in advance. An extra $5 will be added for this. Please note hard copies will take between 5-10 business days to arrive based on Australia post).

Once you booked your public course date we will not issue any refunds if you do not attend or have not completed your pre-course work book. You may change your course date to another date provided you have informed us 2 days /48 hours in advance of your original booked date. Any alternate date is subject to availability and must be taken within 2 months of your original booking date (please see our full Terms & Conditions).

How it works

PRE-COURSE MODULE

Simply complete the short online pre-course learning module after enrolling. Print or screenshot (using your phone) & bring your certificate of completion to the course.

ATTEND THE COURSE

* 6 hours hands-on training. Just remember to bring: * Online Pre-course Certificate
* Wear comfortable clothing
* Black or Blue Pen
* Photo ID (Passport, Drivers License, Student card)

PASS THE COURSE

Have fun. Perform at least 2 min CPR on a CPR manikin.

RECEIVE CERTIFICATE

You will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years from the course completion date.
