Course Timing: 9:00am - 4:00pm .
Any course that has smaller numbers may finish earlier (up to 10% time saving for smaller classes which we have a lot of)


What Will You Learn

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care settingwill give you the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults and applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

Important Course Information

Topics Covered
  • Everything in HLTAID003 and:
  • First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis
  • Management of Asthma Risks & Emergencies in the Workplace
  • Stress management techniques and available support following an emergency situation, including the psychological impact on children.
  • Infant, child anatomy and physiology and the consequences for provision of first aid.
  • First aid requirements for services under the Education and Care Services National Law.
Pre-course Learning
Once booked you will receive an email with a link to Allens Training (the RTO we partner with). Simply complete the learning module (approx 30-45 minutes), print* it out and bring your proof of completion certificate to the course.
*If you don't have a printer, simply take a screenshot with your mobile and bring it with you to the course
Attend our hands-on training day and be sure to bring:
  • Completed Online Certificate Page
  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Pen
  • Form of identification (Drivers License, Passport, Photo I.D. Card, Student card)
Course Variances
Course duration (as above) reflects group sizes of between 4 and 15 participants. If there are less students, you may find course duration reduced by a maximum of 10%. If your group exceeds 15 participants it may also be necessary to increase course length depending on the number of participants.
Physical Requirements
It is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
Recertification
It is recommended HLTAID004 be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards
Your Certificate Upon Completion:
What you will receive on successful completion of the course:
On successful completion of the Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (HLTAID004), students will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years from the course completion date.

Your Certificate(s) will be emailed to you on the next business day. If you need it same day or urgently, please contact us at the time of booking via Notes section in your booking.

If a hard copy of the certificate is required, this needs to be requested in advanced. An extra $5 will be added for this. Please note hard copies will take between 5-10 business days to arrive based on Australia post).
